swabs, pokes and shots

so wyatt did not feel well and was running a fever so i took him to the dr yesterday, it worked out well because i was suppose to take drew back in for his flu shot and a weight check. when i picked wyatt up from day care he was burning up and sounded like crap. so we go to the dr and they weigh drew... and say nothing to me... the dr comes and takes a look at wyatt.... turns out he has croup...it gets better...he also has strep :) yeah for me.... so we get his meds all worked out and now she wants to talk about drew.... the main problem we were having is that drew only gained 5 oz from his 9 month check up to his 12 month check up.... so we made some adjustments to his diet and wanted to check him in two weeks to see if he gained any weight. thus the reason for our trip for drew.... well not only did he not gain weight...he lost 7 oz in that two weeks.... so we checked his iron levels (poking him in the foot- he did not like) iron levels are perfect...so she says she will speak with our regular dr but we will need to get some blood tests done to see what is going on with him.... and since wyatt's strep was positive we tested drew...he had a negative test but after looking again she thought there was a faint positive sign and so he is on meds too. so here i sit with two whiny kids who want lots of love and attention.... lets see if i make it through this weekend :)
