back to school 2013

 back to school finally happened... it was a very happy day for us. we were all ready to get back to school and our routine.  we are so excited about our teachers this year and that Olivia is able to go to the school half days for pre-k. i think this is going to be a very good school year!

baseball 2013-

Glenn was able to coach Wyatt's team this past year and took the team to 2nd in the division ( we won't talk about how there were only 3 teams ) I think it was a fun year for Wyatt and Glenn and that they had fun together.

my BFF Allison turned 30 and had an awesome party... she wanted everyone to wear a wig.. we don't have any  pictures of me and Glenn in our wigs but the kids sure had fun trying them on the next day.

randomness via my phone

here is a random update via my phones pictures.

drew was chosen to be explorer of the week for his grade at their school. basically, they take your picture ask you some questions and your sheet hangs in the front office for a week. it was exciting for him plus we learned he wants to go to Hawaii to explore volcano's.


















olivia loves to be read to at night, on this particular night we had gotten home late from baseball and we all needed to go to bed. when i went to turn her lamp off she was clutching her books with a death grip.. it was cute poor girl.

drew is funny and likes to do silly things. we went to eat one night and this is what he was doing when we were leaving... a little meditation in front of jasons deli

during a random day off we went to lunch with grannie at fuddruckers and the kids all got these stupid gold chains but they thought they were so cool.

drew's kindergarten class dressed up last week for dr. seuss day. drew decieded to be thing 1 becuase he could have blue hair. he was soo exctied to  spray his hair that morning and didn't want to showe that night so he could keep his blue hair. it was really fun to see him so excited about this.

FUN RUN 2013

the kids school had a boosterthon run this week and glenn was able to go watch the kids run.. they were allowed to get pledges for upto 35 laps and both kids were able to run more than that. wyatt thought you had to stop so he ran less than drew but he still ran 45 laps.  drew on the other hand  ended up somewhere around 51 laps without stopping. maybe these two sillies have a future in cross country running like their uncle quinn and nick.

 

christmas 2012

christmas this year was a lot of fun. all the kids were really into the magic of it all and grandma & grandpa were here to celebrate it with. we were able to do our normal traditions again this year. everyone get a new ornament, new village piece and new pj's. it was a fun time and we were all tired at the end of it all.

 santa always bring a new stuffed animal for the kids- olivia got her pink sparkle puff, wyatt got his grey husky and drew got mr.noggin- who had this pair of huge glasses on him.

 

the boys each got new nerf gun that have provided hours of fun for them but not for me.

 

olivia was not in a picture mood that morning but we finally got to see her hair kit she got and has loved ever since. 

school holiday parties

every year the kids have their holiday parties and its the usually thing, parents standing around watching the kids eat candy or other food items... this is our first year at our new school and they like to have an activity for the kids to do, so its a little less boring, plus grandma and grandpa where here..

8 is great

in our church when you are 8 you get baptized. wyatt made the choice to be baptized and it was a such a great day. he was lucky enough to share the day with one of his really good friends, billy. they were so handsome all dressed in white. we were able to have a talk by my dad on baptism and a talk from billy's grandpa on the holy ghost. it was a really great day and we had some awesome friends come support us.

its been a long time..

since its been soooo long since i last blogged i am going to do some back blogging from thanksgiving, wyatts baptism and a couple christmas pictures.... then i am going to just move on to present day... that's the plan for now...

here's a quick update

olivia- loves her dance class, going to preschool 3 days a week, her primary class and playing the computer. i have possibly talked her into trying tennis at the Y this coming april, we shall see how she does.

drew- loves reading, writing, basketball, baseball, football and is excited for this season of baseball. he is doing amazing at school, he is a great reader and is one of his teachers best kids. he is doing great in primary and learning  alot this year, his class is full of boys and i feel so bad for the teacher and the 1 girl that just moved into the ward.

wyatt- loves science, math, baseball, swimming and playing mindcraft (the stupidest thing ever). now that he goes to dyslexia class every day he is finally on reading level! its amazing what knowing how to help a kid can do for that kid. he is growing up so fast and its breaking my heart. he moved to senior primary this year and is learning and absorbing everything they teach him. he LOVES scouts and is super excited for the pinewood derby later this month.

 this year for thanksgiving we went back to the hotel for a thanksgiving buffet. we were able to spend the day with grannie and poppy. we enjoyed a good meal and had fun being together. the kids love the hotel because there is a koi pond inside and you can feed the fish. we all agreed that next year we should have a traditional dinner at home after eating out for two years.

i really can't believe how fast time is moving these days... how in the world was yesterday thanksgiving... i feel like school  just started last week and yet here we are about to run right into the christmas season... things are going to just keep getting busier and i am not sure where the time is going at all. heres a quick recap on the last few weeks

wyatt- after a long drawn out process wyatt was finally tested for dyslexia and the verdict is in... he has dyslexia and will finally get the help he needs at school to start building his tools to help him.. it will always be a battle that we need to stay on top of but i am happy that he has such great teachers to help him out.  baseball season also ended for him and their team was at the top of their age group winning all but 2 or 3 games.. he had a good season and now we are on to basketball...

drew- this kid is rocking school out.. he is doing so well and loves to learn and understand things. he can constantly be found with paper and pen trying to write words out. his baseball season wasn't as winning as wyatts but he was able to make some good progress in a new division this year... we are hoping that spring will allow him to get put on a different team... heres hoping! he is playing basketball again this year and is really starting to improve.. one funny thing that i want to record for myself is this... i start to notice that drew is growing and get excited about his growth and then i see him around other kids his age and i realize he is still quite short... he might be short but he has a lot of personality in the little body...

olivia- she loves going to school and gets excited to go and learn new things.. she LOVES her dance class and is so funny about it. if i ask her about her tap dance she will tell me its a secret and to not talk about it.. she makes me laugh. she is really growing and i often forget that she is only 3 sometimes.. i can't believe that she will be four in just a few short months... how the time is really just flying by. she is my buddy and we have fun just being the two of us during the day.

we have so much to be thankful for and are so excited to celebrate the holiday season and focus the real reason for the season!

drew turned SIX... where did the time go??? he was my little monster not too long ago.. glenn and i went to eat lunch with him on his birthday and i forced him to take some pictures... we love drew so much and can't imagine our lives without him... sure he is stubborn and independent thinking but he can be so sweet and loving too.. he is a huge mamas boy and wants his mom time every night in bed.. he is one smart cookie and is almost reading by himself these days.. he makes me so happy and i hope he knows how much he is loved..
