i scream. you scream

we had a fun summer of playing, swimming and family visiting. we ended our summer with a trip to bluebell ice cream factory. we went 2 summers ago and wanted to go back. we had a blast.

while shane was here we made some flags- why would we do this you ask... maya needed to make some for soccer camp and the boys didn't want to get left out. so they made flags too.

take me out to the ballgame

for shane's birthday at the beginning of the month, my dad took us all to the astros vs red sox game. it was the boys second baseball game and thanks to great friends we didn't have to take olivia :) wyatt was so excited to see the "real" red sox play and was totally cheering for them. drew was cheering for the astros and had a great time. drews favorite part was the food. all he wanted was cotton candy and i kept making him wait until later in the game and then by the time we were ready for some the guy was gone. poor drew. i would feel bad for him except he got to have nachos, snow cone, cracker jacks, peanuts. not too shabby. wyatt loved the whole thing and was so happy. since it was days before the fourth we got a firework show too. the fireworks were so good.

when the uncles come to town

Since my camera is gone, these posts are going to be a lot less picture (like none) and a lot more words..
So nick came first and we did a lot of fun things

nick is so good with the kids, he loves to play with them and just be with them.

shane loves my kids soo much and you can tell that he loves to be with them.

we had a great 3 weeks with uncles to play with us but it was good to get back to normal. now we are counting down the days till our neighbors get home (hurry please) and for school to start again. 1 month countdown.. some of us are ready for school to be back in session :)

dear summer,

we have loved having you around. we have enjoyed swimming, hanging out with friends, wednesday movies, popsicles and having no real schedule. its with heavy hearts that we say good bye to you soon but we need school to start. wyatt has started getting restless and i am in need of him to be with friends and at school. i need my routine to start again and the heat to start decreasing because its hot. so see ya next year for another great summer filled with swimming and friends.

fishes in the water

for about two hours out of everyday we are fishes in the water. i have a new appreciation of the pool. it wears my kids out so wonderfully, it gives us great tans and sometimes not so great sunburns and its a great cooling effect to avoid the HEAT. we did swim lessons at the y right before school let out to get reacquainted with the water. the very first day drew did not want to get his head wet. by the end of swim lessons he would do that and now he will swim with his floaties and its a blessing for me. wyatt can swim but has this huge fear of drowning so he spends his time with his floaties on. i am not going to complain too much because it is safer to know he has them on. olivia didn't get lessons cause she is one and i didn't want to do a mommy and me class. she has this floaty thing that she likes for about 20 minutes and then she is done. she hates being splashed in the face and has started trying to escape. i am hoping we can find a solution for her because i want her to enjoy pool time. its so fun to see their courage build in the water and their tan lines are so funny to see. i am so appreciative of great friends to play in the water with and for us having the pool next door. it is a huge blessing in my life.

we were able to go to an astros game before glenn took off- the boys thought it was super cool- drew loved seeing the batter guys as he calls them. it was a lot of fun and wyatt loved the cotton candy. poppy had given them money to get a special treat and this is what they chose.. olivia and i were just kicking it in the corner laughing at our boys! it was so fun and next year will be even better!

so here the update for the last few weeks-- ENJOY if you want

we went to the blue bell ice cream factory- it rocked....
we have been swimming in the blow up pool in the back yard..
we have been playing with our cousin- so fun...
we have been playing wii....
we have been learing to army crawl...
we have been caught sucking on our toes...
we have been caught doing naughty things...
we have been trying to stay cool.

overall we have been having a great time...
