easter egg hunt hansen style

my parents had an easter egg hunt for their grandkids that live here. my dad hid some eggs really well, so good in fact that one is still missing, at least they are plastic. the cool thing that my dad and mom did is put money in the eggs (hansen tradition) and little note that made the kids do different things to earn a quarter. it was so fun.

so drew is always and i mean always bothering olivia and it was nice to see her starting to fight back against him.

stupid high school pranks

last week was spring break here in our school district. it was a great week filled with good weather and fun days at the park. glenn was home til thursday so it was even more fun having daddy here. the downers of the week were the following:

someone "great" high school kids spray painting the "f" word on the side of our house. when the cops came out they said that since we live close to the park that is why we were targeted. it was sad to me b.c it is so meaningless. i told glenn i would have preferred it be a gang sign instead if a swear word. at least the gang sign has meaning. we spent a good hour scrubbing the spray paint off and are happy to report its almost all gone.

in the middle of that we realized that drew (you know my devil child) had locked both sets of car keys in the car. yes he is talented and for sale (whose kidding you can have him for free) his reasoning was that he smelt bubblegum in the car. yes that was his honest answer. i love him but somedays its touch and go with us. so after a fun 100 dollars later we had our car keys back.

its been an interesting week but it was fun. now i am ready to get back into our normal schedule til summer time when it all goes out the window.

celebrate good times

we went to lunch on my birthday- me, my mom, drew and olivia. wyatt gets left out since he gets to go to school. he doesn't quite see the joy of going to school over getting lunch out. but nevertheless, he was at school and we were at lunch. we had a great time and i surprisingly had my camera with me.. enjoy!

i am not a huge fan of valentines day but with the kids getting older and starting to have school parties i am working on it. this year my mom got the kids these super cute shirts (All the kids personalized shirts have come from this great website- if you say sew ) we wore our shirts on friday since wyatt suppose to have his class party that day.

yesterday was olivia's birthday but we had her party on sunday afternoon. it was so fun to watch her eat her cake and play with a few new toys. i can't believe that she is one already... here some pictures from the party.

we all had a great time playing games, dressing up and just hanging out.. the boys loved playing with everyone and drew loved dressing up with the girls.

i have found my camera but need to charge the battery but even better is that i found shanes pictures on my computer. he always remembers to take pictures. when he has kids they will be well documented. so here are some pictures of a trip to the park the week of christmas.

here we come 2010. i am excited for a new year. 09 was full of surpriseing twist and interesting turns. never thought we would be here but in the end its been a great place for us to land.

so happy to have little lady in our family. she is such a character and oh the differences between boys and girls.

drew has had a rough year and i am hoping for great 2010 with him starting to be more curious about things and hopefully start to make some friends.

wyatt will start kindergartin next year and that i am looking forward, mostly for him but a little for me. more sports adventures and hopefully not too my hospital visits.

adios 2009 and come on in 2010... be kind to us all..

i am all shopped out. sadly i need a few more things but i seriously want to never step foot in a target or toys r us again soon- anywho.. at least i am mostly done and can enjoy the crazy week that will occur when all my family shows up next week. its going to be a loud crazy christmas.

our ward party was going to Bethlehem. we were suppose to dress up and the boys loved it. they were shepard's and my mom and dad were in costume too. i had a head wrap but with olivia being so squirmy these days it did not last long. olivia wore her cute jammies that have angel wings on the back. the party was great and we had a good time listening to the story of mary and joesph.

one night we came up stairs to see the kids playing santa clause and his elfs. drew had somehow become santa and this was his sled. these are all the toys that are from the play room. my mom was coming up the stairs and gasped at the sight of all the toys in the hallway. the kids were great of cleaning it all up but it was so fun to see them getting excited.

we went to the zoo the day before thanksgiving. it was a great day. not too crowded and not too cold. we had a blast. all drew wanted to know was when we were eating and where the monkeys were. after we had done those two things he was ready to go. we had a fun time.

halloween was a great day. we went to our ward party and then out trick or treating with some friends and had a great time. the kids go so much candy that it was nuts. we were sad that dad missed it but thanks to granny and some great friends we had a good day.
